The stereo RIAA converter module is one of a range of modules designed to provide an additional amplifier line input. These high quality products attenuate the stereo input and correct the frequency characteristic to counteract the automatic frequency shaping of an amplifiers phono input stage. It thus allows line level sources such as CD players, tuners, satellite receivers to connect to an available magnetic phono input. The microphone version does not require the filter stage. The module has been built with high quality components and using optimum pcb screening techniques to ensure high performance. The accuracy of the inverse RIAA frequency response makes the module ideal for laboratory testing of the phono stages of hi-fi amplifiers.
The module intercepts the signal to the phono socket of the amplifier.
The signals are filtered and attenuated to remove the special RIAA frequency
characteristic of the amplifiers phono input. Connect a stereo phono lead from the
terminal jacks of the module labelled in-left and in-right to the line level source.
Connect the jacks labelled out-left and out-right to the amplifiers phono or
microphone input.
